Sidecar Thursday

I've always wanted to ride in a sidecar.....or drink one(?) I was trying to think of a title for this blog and knew it would make no sense what-so-ever. So here it is and here is a recipe to try from CHOW. Food. Drink. Fun.

• 1 ounce brandy
• 3/4 ounce Cointreau
• 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice

My week has been so slow and pretty much non-existent as far as work goes. I realized that Spring Break has no meaning to me anymore. Right out of college, into my first job, trying to build up leave = really hard. I have had time to shop a bit and came across my new "L-O-V-E of the moment" clothing item this week. I decided I had to have it and purchased it without checking my bank account first. That's how you know it's love! I've never shopped on Alloy.com before yesterday but am definitely digging their clothes and accessories. This dress is perfect for the upcoming Spring/Summer days. I told my bff Jocelyn about it yesterday. So she's excited for the new purchase too.

I wanted to order these super cute bracelets too but shipping kills me. I'm thinking I can find similar ones in a store without having to pay outrageous shipping prices. Shopping at work doesn't seem right but I've done all my work!! I can stray from working on the last board meeting's minutes a little bit, right?

I just got great news that my brother, Brian, got the Radiology residency in San Antonio that he wanted. His wife was matched to an Air Force hospital to do Internal Medicine that Brian is unable to practice in, being a civilian and all. Their move from Winston-Salem, NC to San Antonio, TX has me giddy with excitement that they will be closer to visit.
