Hilarious

It has been so beautiful this week and so hard to bring myself to work. Today is my first full day back and all I have been doing is staring at the clock.

My Big Dilemma of the Moment: FIREPLACE(????)
What in the world is this? and whose idea was it to be in my home? My ongoing obsession with sfgirlbybay's design blog, in particular mantle mania, has helped me out a little with what I want to do with my big black box. But it's still hideous! The picture above was taken before I moved in and makes it look like something I could crawl into and never come back out of. I'm such a creep. With my new furniture and mantle decor, it doesn't look as noticeable and obvious as this picture.
::although.....my cute BF pointed out that if I splurged on the flat panel TV I've been wanting along with the mirror I purchased from my most recent estate sale tied together with the magic black box, I would have quite the collection of rectangles::
